Japanese Flower Arranging (Ikebena) for Beginners
A rose is a rose, is a rose, is a rose. However, the manner in which a
rose is displayed expresses much about the artist and about her or his
view of nature. In Seichou Karate® Ikebana class, you’ll learn the
essential basics of Ikebana (the art of Japanese flower arranging) and
will create your own Ikebana flower arrangements that you may take home.
The curriculum includes, (1) how to choose and care for your Ikebana
equipment, (2) how to choose flowers for your work, and (3) the theory
and practice of Japanese flower arrangement. Ikebana classes are open to
students 15 years and older and meet Saturday afternoons.
