KICK!™- Kids Interdisciplinary Culture & Karate®... Kids Interdisciplinary Culture & Karate®, or KICK!™, is an extraordinary, 5-day a week, after-school program. It offers a unique "Japanese cultural immersion" that is both challenging and nurturing, and gives them useful "life strategies" for staying safe and growing strong both physically and mentally. Seichou Karate® children have fun in the process of learning and growing through the Japanese language, calligraphy, and karate as they study and practice each one in-depth. Seichou Karate® also provides the children with a unique sense of camaraderie as they work together in a vigorous yet respectful environment infused with Japanese etiquette. In a typical week, the children receive about 5 hours of karate, 2 hours of calligraphy, and 3 hours of Japanese language and culture instruction. The remaining 5 hours of the week is dedicated to finishing homework and enjoying rest and a healthy snack. Although all the disciplines of karate-do, Japanese, and calligraphy take years to master, Seichou Karate® children quickly gain self-confidence as they establish a foundation for their own growth and accomplishment. |
