Richard Romero is a Japanologist and former full-contact Kyokushinkai Karate champion with over 38 years of Japanese martial arts experience, over 20 years of teaching experience in U.S. and Japan, and over five years of professional experience in Japan, including Public Educational Consultant at the Kani City Board of Education, Lecturer on Japanese martial arts at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and Karate Instructor at World Oyama Karate in Nagoya. He is also trilingual (English, Spanish, Japanese) and possesses the finest educational background. As such, he is unique in the martial arts industry.
